Overview

Description

This swing dance festival is a space for queer dancers and allies on all levels of dancing skill. If you are a queer dancer, or a queer person wanting to learn lindy hop in a queer space, this festival is for you. If you are an ally who supports the vision of the festival, this event is also for you. Classes will be taught mostly by the ELEF principle, as in Everybody Leads Everybody Follows. There will also be a blues room during the evenings. Follow us on social media: facebook and instagram @queerlindy.gbg

Travel notes

What to know

Gothenburg is a charming city that offers a unique blend of maritime history, cultural attractions, and lively atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for a festival trip. In September, the weather is usually mild, with occasional rain, so it's a good idea to pack layers and waterproof gear. The city is easily accessible by air, with nearby airports, or by train, with a major rail hub. Accommodation options range from budget-friendly to upscale, and local costs for food and transport are generally moderate. To plan your trip, consider booking your accommodation and travel in advance to ensure availability. Additionally, researching local transport options, such as public buses or bike rentals, can help you navigate the city easily and make the most of your festival experience.
